Charades is a evergreen ice breaker that can be used for any occasion, or even as a filler. It was also a game that Classic 104'12 used for their Mission Impossible Activity (Self Management)

104'12 Classic used this activity for Peer Support. The activity may seem simple but the hoop will really go up!!
104'12 Classic recommend this as a good activity to start the session on Peer Support - PSLs will get the year 1s to form two circles, one inner circle and one outer circle. - Year 1s in the outer circle will link arms and PSLs will try to push through the outer circle to tag the year 1s in the inner circle. (safety first though) - Once someone in the inner circle is tagged, she is out of the game. A story can be used to make the activity more interesting, such as the year 1s in the inside circle are princesses and the Year 1s outside are warriors protecting the princesses. The PSLs are dragons trying to snatch (tap) the Princesses Used by 104'12 Classic as a fun "get-to-know" ice breaker! 1. Sec 1s stand in a circle
2. One PSL starts off by “shooting” a student, while shouting her name. Eg “Bang Rachel!” 3. The student that gets “shot” squats while the two students beside her turn and “shoot” each other while calling each others’ name. 4. The student who responds slower sits down (loses the game), and the game continues. 5. If the person who is shot fails to squat when her name is called, she will be eliminated from the game as well and will have to sit down. Used by 104'12 Classic as an energizer cum icebreaker! (Also often used as one of the station games during Orientation) 1. Get the Sec1s to pair up with someone they don’t know and form one inner and outer circle.
2. Have the Sec1s introduce themselves one by one. 3. Explain the rules of the game: The person in the outer circle has to call out a name of a person from the inner circle and the person in the centre has to try to whack the person whose name was called out. The person’s partner in the outer circle then has to call another name from the inner circle to save her partner. The game continues until someone is whacked and that person takes the whacker’s place. Used by 110'12 Classic during their last session with the Year1s! Instructions
